The aim of our Outreach Committee is to proclaim the good news in word and deed. Our mandate is to help church members and adherents develop an awareness of existing conditions locally and throughout the world and to encourage the membership to contribute morally and financially towards those needs. The task continues to require an interest and concern for the whole church and not just a function of one committee. We hope and pray to reach out with relevance to serve Christ in the world through love. We are open to responding to special projects that members of our congregation bring forth to us, some of which we have supported financially in the past. We encourage member suggestions and try to be responsive in whatever way we can (through Sunday announcements, focused Sunday services, special givings envelopes, special speakers, etc.) Part of our budget is allocated each year as emergency/immediate funds available to allow for special causes brought forth from the congregation. We encourage our church members to remember the Outreach projects as our church's commitment to those in need beyond our own walls.
