Brookfield Pastoral Care Committee at Central
Our committee was named in honour of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Brookfield, who visited all newcomers to the village to make them welcome.
Since its inception in 1986, our committee has tried to
continue in the tradition and spirit of its important ministry, which includes:
- visiting the sick in hospital or at home visiting
the senior members of our
congregation and to provide any
assistance to them they may request
- keeping in touch with our Church family through
sympathy, get well or
celebration cards
- welcoming new members joining the Church and
providing refreshments and
hosting a luncheon once a year
for new members
- hosting the seniors luncheon in the spring
- maintaining the over 80 years of age roster and
sending greeting cards each
year
- arranging for Sunday service greeters
